To help better explain what NSCA is, what we do, and what our members do, our board of directors took the time to document the significance of NSCA in the industry and to their own integration firms. Through a series of blog posts, we’ll reveal what they had to say. These statements were captured during a 2015 strategic planning session as we examined the industry and contemplated NSCA’s role as the voice, business resource, and trusted advisor for the channel and the systems integrator.
Next to share his expertise is NSCA Past President and Board Member Ingolf de Jong, who is also president at General Communications.
NSCA understand trends in the market and provides research and reports that include real data on technology spending broken down by vertical market. These market intelligence reports are based upon actual construction put in place vs. so many that rely on small samples of survey snapshots. Our business success is dependent on knowing which direction we need to move in order to keep current with opportunity and the expectation of our clients. We have benefited greatly from our membership with NSCA and knowing how much effort goes into providing us with resources to keep us on the cutting edge.
NSCA is the only association focused on improving our business. This plays a big role in upholding our brand reputation, helps our bottom-line profits, allows us to benchmark our processes, and drives organizational excellence. –Ingolf de Jong, NSCA Past President and Board Member, 2005-2016
