To help better explain what NSCA is, what we do, and what our members do, our board of directors took the time to document the significance of NSCA in the industry and to their own integration firms. Through a series of blog posts, we’ll reveal what they had to say. These statements were captured during a 2015 strategic planning session as we examined the industry and contemplated NSCA’s role as the voice, business resource, and trusted advisor for the channel and the systems integrator.
Next to share her expertise is NSCA Board Member Anne Sellers, who is also managing principal at Sensory Technologies.
NSCA goes beyond the usual industry trade group. We truly care about each and every member. Our mission is to foster best practices and help integrators grow and be profitable.
Sure, we network with vendors, industry experts, and other members to gather all the information we can at NSCA meetings. But NSCA is more than just a gathering of the industry. The organization has the directive of helping my business succeed. NSCA focuses on getting my focus to be the business side of an AV business. Lots of companies can install an audiovisual system – but who can do it at significant profit? NSCA wants me to be able to raise my hand when that question is asked. -Anne Sellers, NSCA Board Member, 2013 – Present
