The Stepping Up Awards at the 23rd annual Business & Leadership Conference specifically recognize integration firms that stepped up and made smart business decisions during the past year’s brutal market.
CEDAR RAPIDS, IA, Dec. 8, 2020 — NSCA, the leading not-for-profit association representing the commercial integration industry, is excited to announce its 2021 Stepping Up Awards.
The new award program recognizes the uniqueness of the past year by temporarily replacing the annual Excellence in Business Awards and instead focusing on integrators’ agility and ability to react to the extremely challenging market of the past year.
Submissions will be accepted through Jan. 18, 2021; there are no entry fees. Winners will receive recognition in various NSCA and industry publications, blogs, social media channels, and newsletters, as well as recognition at NSCA’s 23rd annual Business & Leadership Conference, taking place virtually on Feb. 24-25.
Traditionally, NSCA’s annual Excellence in Business Awards honor systems integration firms and their efforts to implement new strategies to navigate the constantly changing industry. The stakes were raised even higher over the past year due to business challenges spurred by the pandemic. The Stepping Up Awards honor integration firms that rose to the occasion when faced with daunting business obstacles.
Apply online here. Winners will be announced on Feb. 2, 2021, and recognized during the Business & Leadership Conference, where winners will discuss their winning strategies with attendees.
Integrators can apply for the Stepping Up Awards in one of five categories:
- Customer Experience (finding ways to be there for customers when they’re needed the most)
- Employee Engagement (implementing solutions for keeping sprawling, uniquely challenged workforces productive and positive)
- Community Outreach (going beyond keeping the doors open and taking steps to help those in need)
- Agility (recognizing a rapidly changing market, recognizing how to serve customers’ evolving needs, and adapting)
- Achievement (meeting goals against all odds in a brutal market, case studies in business growth and measured success over the past year)
“The goalposts moved during a very unique year, so business goals and key performance indicators had to be reworked,” says NSCA Executive Director Chuck Wilson. “For many integration companies during the pandemic, it has been about being nimble and reacting to the changing needs of customers and employees. The same goes for our annual business awards program. This year, it’s about recognizing integration companies that stepped up.”
The Excellence in Business Awards are expected to return in 2022.
