We know that soundmasking systems must be individually and properly adjusted for each facility – but do our customers realize this?
Despite plug-and-play solutions, or different types of loudspeaker installation methods, LogiSon says that soundmasking systems can’t defy the laws of physics. Sound is affected by the qualities of the space into which it’s distributed.
The reality, says LogiSon, is that no soundmasking system is able to produce “the right sound” right away. It must be tuned to meet a particular soundmasking spectrum or curve. And this is a benefit that a systems integrator can provide.
A customer may think a soundmasking system’s “out of the box” settings will be sufficient, but they don’t take into account how small the zones are, how the loudspeakers are installed, how it will interact with elements in the workplace, etc.
Tuning can be a time-consuming process, but the end results are worth it for the end-user. Explain to them that the system’s benefits will only be experienced consistently by all building occupants if a true expert is involved.
