Education Foundation presents The Drunk Unkles

Celebrating 13 Years of Rocking to Raise Money

On Wednesday, June 6, at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas’ Vinyl, the Drunk Unkles get together for the 13th year in a row to raise money for the IGNITE program – and the new subsidized internship program announced this year! Tickets to this celebration will be available at InfoComm sponsor booths or click here to download your ticket today.

Another one-of-a-kind guitar giveaway will be announced for the 2018 concert as well. Stay tuned for details!

Monies raised from industry professionals, manufacturers, consultant firms, dealers, distributors, rep firms, and integrators as part of this annual event have contributed to the NSCA Education Foundation’s ability to establish meaningful and impactful programs, offer scholarships, and provide training opportunities for new professionals and industry veterans.

The Drunk Unkles began more than 13 years ago as a way to help others. The band performed its first charity fundraising event to help the family of an industry peer who unexpectedly lost his life. “The Drunk Unkles have supported the industry and its members by sharing their talent at great venues for more than decade,” says Chuck Wilson, NSCA Education Foundation director.  “This annual Drunk Unkles performance, held each year, has grown to become one of the most popular must-attend networking events held during InfoComm week.”

Sponsorship of this annual fundraising event will be used to fund the new industry workforce development program – IGNITE. In addition the great work done by the Partner Alliance for Safer Schools (PASS K-12) co-founded by NSCA wouldn’t be possible without this financial support.

Sponsors to date for this year’s event include Atlas Sound, Belden, Barco, Biamp, Bosch Communications Systems, BTX, FSR, HARMAN, Liberty AV, Milestone AV Technologies, NEC Display Solutions, Solutions360, Stewart FilmScreen, SurgeX, Synnex Corporation, West Penn Wire, and Winsted Corporation.

The Drunk Unkles’ features industry insiders Felix Robinson from AVI-SPL, “Unkle” Steve Emspak of Shen Milsom & Wilke, Marc Hochlerin of Longman Lindsey, Mike Phillips of Hudson Marketing Inc., John Cardone of Cardone Solomon and Associates and the talented “Aunt” Lisa Wenger along with some very talented special guests.
