Presented by: Dr. Chris Kuehl

When NSCA chief economist Dr. Chris Kuehl addressed NSCA members at the 22nd annual Business & Leadership Conference, only about a month ago, the industry felt confident and safe in knowing the global economy was headed toward slow and steady growth. Today, we are suddenly faced with an unprecedented challenge that could impact your business for months and even beyond.

We have financial data placing us firmly in a recession and we must understand what that really means for our industry. The COVID 19 crisis has certainly created the need to reassess all that we projected for 2020.

In this webinar, Dr. Kuehl leads a discussion to help members get a better handle on where this could head; how long recovery could take; the impact on our supply chain; leading indicators and trends to keep an eye on; and how we should adapt to the new normal. We will discuss the stimulus package and treatment of employment levels based upon revenue projections and matching expenses.

This high-level economic overview is an immediate follow up to Dr. Kuehl’s BLC Economic Outlook 2020 for Integrators keynote. We will regroup and access the short- and long-term outlooks. Together we will get through this.

Dr. Chris Kuehl is an economist based in Kansas City. His firm provides forecasts and strategic guidance for a wide variety of corporate clients around the world. He is also the chief economist for several national and international organizations, including NSCA.
