Former CEO of Polycom and Mitel brings enterprise technology leadership as NetSpeek expands its autonomous AI operations platform.
NEWTON, Mass. – July 23, 2026 – NetSpeek, the company pioneering AI-driven operations for enterprise workplace technology, today announced the appointment of Mary McDowell to its Board of Directors.
McDowell brings more than three decades of executive leadership in enterprise technology, communications, and software. She previously served as CEO of Polycom, leading the company through a major strategic transformation and its acquisition by Plantronics, and later as President, CEO, and Board Director of Mitel Networks, where she guided the company through a period of significant market change and transformation.
Her appointment comes at a moment when organizations are moving past traditional monitoring tools and turning to AI to reduce repetitive IT work and keep systems running more reliably.
“Mary has spent her career building and growing enterprise technology businesses,” said Erik DeGiorgi, Founder and CEO of NetSpeek. “She understands both the technology powering today’s workplaces and the day-to-day operational challenges organizations are up against. As AI changes how enterprise operations work, her experience building and leading category-defining companies is going to be a real asset as we execute on our vision.”
NetSpeek helps organizations move beyond reactive monitoring, using AI to continuously watch, troubleshoot, and autonomously resolve issues across AV, UC, networking, digital signage, and other workplace technologies. NetSpeek recently introduced autonomous AI workflows that identify a problem, determine its root cause, and take corrective action within administrator-defined guardrails, often before users notice anything went wrong.
“Enterprise collaboration technology is critical to how organizations get things done but ensuring that the technology is fully operational can be quite complex,” said Mary McDowell. “By applying AI to operational management, NetSpeek’s genuinely new approach helps organizations improve reliability, reduce operational complexity, and ensure that technology investments deliver promised results. I’m looking forward to joining the Board and helping guide the company’s next stage of growth.”
The appointment reinforces NetSpeek’s continued momentum as the company expands its AI-native platform and broadens support across enterprise collaboration, networking, and workplace technologies. With growing adoption among enterprise customers, channel partners, and managed service providers, NetSpeek continues to advance its vision of moving the industry from reactive monitoring to autonomous operations.
