Defining ‘Essential Services’ — A State-by-State Resource

While the federal government released its Guidance on the Essential Critical Infrastructure Workforce recently, the guidelines are not mandated on a state-by-state basis. Not all states are currently enforcing shelter in place. States are making their own determination on what “essential services” entail.

To bring clarity to NSCA members looking to understand whether their services are considered “essential” in their respective states, we’ve compiled links to resources that provide guidance on a state-by-state basis. Please consider that this information is evolving rapidly. We’ll continue to update these links as we become aware of changes.

Reach out to Debra Gaskill, NSCA’s member relations specialist, at dgaskill@nsca.org if you discover inaccurate information or necessary updates.
