In an NSCA 2020 Pivot to Profit Series interview, VIRALERT’s Christopher Leonard contends that the future of highly demanded human body temperature screening solutions lies in integration with more comprehensive solutions like VIRALERT.
A big focus at every NSCA Pivot to Profit event is how integrators can tap into emerging technologies to solve their customers’ evolving business challenges – and, of course, create new revenue streams.
That focus seemed even more pertinent at 2020 Pivot to Profit Virtual (P2Pv). Many customers’ evolving business problems relate directly to the COVID-19 pandemic, including creating strategies for bringing employees back to the workplace or getting students into classrooms.
Human body temperature screening can play an important role in a back-to-work or back-to-school plan, according to Chris Leonard, global lead for VIRALERT, an AMETEK company. “Temperature screening can be a real useful tool and mitigation method, but it needs to be done with the right technology,” he says in a P2P Series interview.
Integrators Integrating Temperature Screening?
While not a traditional offering for AV, security, or life safety integrators, Leonard sees NSCA members as potentially playing a key role in the adoption and growth of temperature screening.
“Looking into the future, where I think this solution will really be established is in the integration of a wider ecosystem,” Leonard says. “Integrating this into existing systems adds value to what [you] offer.”
