Mike Abernathy is Director of Business Resources at NSCA. He has been part of the systems integration industry since 2001. He started his career with NSCA before spending 10 years with a commercial audio manufacturer where he managed international sales. Today, Mike’s role at NSCA is to assist members with business resources that help them operate their systems integration firm. He’s based in Wisconsin where enjoys times with his wife and 2 kids.
Tim Alevizos, co-founder of Minneapolis-based Supervox Agency and NSCA’s 2022 MAC Partner of the Year, brings diverse brand development and marketing communication skills to clients across the Pro-AV industry. Working with integrators, manufacturers, service providers nationwide, he has helped create and evolve numerous brands, expressed them in a broad range of tactical executions, and has developed compelling content across platforms and channels. Uniting his work: a strong brand sensibility that treats every audience touchpoint as an opportunity to drive brand awareness and engagement. Tim’s work has been recognized by AdFed, AIGA, and the Outdoor Advertising Association of America, and has been featured in numerous design industry publications. Tim also serves on the board of Sustainability in AV (SAVe). Before founding Supervox Agency, he worked as an editor at PBS in Washington, DC and and earned a BS in Speech at Northwestern University.
Ray Bailey has been in the low-voltage industry since 1979, when he started as a technician for Audio Communications in Anchorage before joining Rauland as a district manager in 1986. There, he taught companies about selling techniques and trained them on the technical aspects of installation and troubleshooting. In 1991, he left Rauland and started Lone Star Communications in Grand Prairie, TX, to cover the Dallas-Ft. Worth market. Focused on quality and customer service over his entire career, Ray is obsessed with making the customer experience exceptional. He has also been involved in carrying this message to other companies through his membership with NSCA, where he currently serves as president.
Brian Banks began his work in communication security in the U.S. Army, graduating as the Honor Graduate, from the U.S. Army Signal School as a COMSEC Specialist. He served for a total of 8 years. Brian has been employed at Lone Star Communications for 16 years as a Technology Integration and Development Specialist. His work has included technology integrations; app development; along with security planning; physical security systems design; information security governance; risk and vulnerability management; network and system architecture; computer operating system operations; data protection; incident; and problem management. He has also participated in the coordination of security projects from inception to completion ensuring successful outcomes and maximum system functionality.
Matt Barnette, in his new role as chief executive officer at PSA, is committed to providing industry leading products and exceptional customer service in everything he and his team executes. His teams are motivated to provide the best product, services, and support in the industry. With over 30 years of experience in management and executive roles, Matt is a seasoned veteran in the physical security industry. He travels internationally to attend and present at seminars and conferences focused on commercial and government security; the emergence of electronic security in IT; cyber-security; and the emerging IoT standards.
Tom Barry joined Tech Electronics in 2021 as the Chief Financial Officer to oversee the company's financial strategy. Tom has an extensive background with over 20 years of experience in finance and accounting, having spent time at Deloitte & Touche and Emerson. He received his BS and Masters in Accountancy from the University of Missouri and holds an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis. Tom serves on the Financial Leadership Council of the National Systems Contractors Association, the Finance Committee of Make-A-Wish Foundation of Missouri & Kansas, the Finance Committee of the University of Missouri Alumni Association and as a Director for the Evans Scholarship Foundation.
Siddharth “Sid” Bose is an attorney in Ice Miller's Data Security and Privacy Practice. As part of Ice Miller’s Data Security and Privacy Practice, Sid counsels clients on various data security and privacy issues dealing with Internet of Things (IoT), SaaS, cybersecurity and regulatory compliance, and data breaches. Prior to becoming an attorney, Sid worked as an IT systems engineer. He is a current board member of the Central Indiana Chapter of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA). He is also a volunteer with the National Telecommunications and Information Administration’s (NTIA) working group on IoT Security, Upgradability, and Patching. As part of the working group, Sid participates in discussions on the impact of IoT devices and the need for a secure lifecycle approach to IoT devices. Sid is also a former co-chair of the Indianapolis Chapter of the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
Sunil Botadra is founder of AV Design Labs, a local New Hampshire based company, focused on providing technical services like Autocad and REVIT Drafting, design engineering, control system and DSP programming & 3D rendering services to the professional Audio-Visual Integration and Consulting companies. He started AV Design Labs in 2017, after serving as Director of Engineering for 13 years at a local integration company - Red Thread Spaces. Sunil works alongside his team of drafters/engineers/programmer colleagues providing exceptional quality and on-time delivery of the different services that are offered. Over the years, he has morphed from being the technical lead to being the customer’s advocate within AV Design Labs, most recently expanding the service offering to other low voltage industry like access control, structured cabling etc. Sunil enjoys hiking, traveling and spending time with his family. He is actively involved with industry partners like NSCA and Edge Technology.
Dale Bottcher has helped AV and IT technology managers realize their visions in all varieties of applications and environments – from large-scale training centers to flexible huddle rooms. Dale is passionate about customer relationship building, working closely with his teams to address clients’ complex video communications needs and deliver solutions under budget and on schedule.
Andy Bourquin is the Director of Professional Services at Radiant Technology, an integrator focused on collaboration technology and digital signage. Over the ten years he's been with Radiant, Andy has been involved in almost every area of the business. Having direct accountability over Radiant's A/V Engineering, Support, IT, Software Development, and Creative teams gives Andy the opportunity to unify multiple groups and disciplines into a single technical vision, while building and maintaining a positive team culture across a diverse group of professionals. Since stepping into a leadership role in 2017, he has been a critical part of Radiant Technology's growth in recurring revenue through support and managed services. Jeff Bronswick, CEO of Bronswick Benjamin P.C., is constantly committed to the firm’s clients. Ron Callis Jr is CEO and founder of One Firefly, LLC, an award-winning and Inc. 5000-recognized marketing agency catering to commercial and residential custom integration markets. Ron is dedicated to helping the custom electronics industry grow. He has been a Certified CEDIA Instructor since 2010, is a past elected member of Crestron’s Advisory Board, currently serves on the Azione Unlimited Advisory Board, and was recently inducted into the CEPro Masters Class of 2021. Ron is also a fellow with the Birthing of Giants Organization. He obtained his Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech.
Christina De Bono is president of ClearTech, an integration company established in 1983. Christina has 23 years of experience in the commercial AV industry, holding key positions in sales and executive management. Christina has been on the Board of Directors for NSCA since July 2017. She has served on other Boards including International Facilities Management Association (IFMA), LA Chapter and for the Association of Strategic Planners (ASP), L.A. Chapter. Christina is a graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program.
Brad Dempsey, CEO of Solutions360, has 33+ years of international project and financial management experience in the technology industry. Brad began his career as a technology consultant in 1979 at TRW Data Systems, followed with positions at Prime Computer Ltd., Apollo Computer Ltd., and Sequent Computer Systems (Canada) Ltd. In 1988, he founded Solutions360 Inc. Solutions360 is an NSCA Business Accelerator.
Keith Donahue leads Avidex's sales and marketing organizations to drive brand awareness and loyalty to deliver an exceptional customer experience and create customers for life. Kyle Habben is president and CEO of Electronic Contracting Company, an integration firm providing AV, fire alarm, health care, and security solutions to customers throughout the Midwest. An NSCA Board of Directors member, Kyle brings 20-plus years of sales experience and has served the integration industry for over a decade. He has a B.S. in Industrial Distribution from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
Joel Harris is President of Solutions360 and also serves as a Strategy and Business Consultant with Navigate Management Consulting. He’s an experienced executive and consultant across multiple industries, with extensive experience leading, building, and growing low voltage companies from audio visual to security to structured cabling to specialty healthcare.
Will Knehr is the Senior Manager of Information Assurance and Data Privacy at i-PRO Americas, Inc. where he works to secure their products and networks. He has been working to secure networks since 2004 when he started his career in Cryptologic Warfare conducting cyber defense missions for the NSA, CMF, DoN, DoD, and DISA – helping to defend, accredit, certify, and provide digital forensics and incident response on the Nation’s most sensitive and secure networks. He also worked for Northrop Grumman supporting special projects for the NSA and DISA building virtualized environments for malware analysis, data brokering, and managing their cybersecurity program. He has a Master’s Degree in CyberSecurity and another Master’s Degree in Business. He holds many industry leading certifications including CISSP, PMP, CEH, CNDA, CASP, CMMC RP, and many more.
Tom LeBlanc, NSCA's Executive Director, has supported the integration market since 2003. As editorial director of Commercial Integrator from 2010 to 2019 and in various roles at CE Pro before that, he specialized in developing content to help integration firms improve their businesses. At NSCA, LeBlanc is focused on sharing NSCA success stories and resources aimed at improving members' businesses.
Laurie MacKeigan is the President of Backman Vidcom, the leading commercial audiovisual integrator in Atlantic Canada. A Cape Bretoner, Laurie graduated from Acadia University with a BBA, concentration in accounting. After obtaining her Chartered Accountant designation with Deloitte in Halifax, Laurie spent 11 years in Bermuda. She worked in the financial services industry as the head of finance to a global investment firm. She and her husband decided to return home to Nova Scotia to raise their young children and fulfill a dream of being entrepreneurs.In 2014, Laurie purchased Backman Vidcom, a 40 year old audiovisual firm. The challenge was daunting as the company had grown stagnant in a rapidly changing industry. She and her team nicknamed the company Backman 2.0 and set out to be leaders in the industry locally and internationally. The strategy has worked with impressive results over the past few years and plans for more growth. Backman has been involved in providing audiovisual systems in very high profile projects since Laurie took over the company including the new Halifax Convention Centre.
Shedan Maghzi has served as the Corporate Strategic Advisor for Avidex since 2018. Shedan joined Avidex in 2004 and led the Northern California Region as General Manager before becoming President of Avidex in 2014. Previously he held a wide range of leadership positions in the AV industry with leading San Francisco Bay Area audiovisual firms since 1985. Shedan graduated from San Francisco State University with B. A. in Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts. He is CTS certified, speaks at Audiovisual conferences and is recognized as a thought leader within the industry. As part of the Avidex executive team Shedan manages transformational initiatives pivoting Avidex from being a provider of AV technology solutions to developing and implementing curated experiences for customers using technology and managed services.
Don Mastro has over 35 years’ experience in the audiovisual and visual communications industry specializing in the development of large global enterprise account technology planning and implementation projects. Don has worked with industry giants in all vertical markets with logos like 3M, Mayo Clinic, Coca-Cola, Emerson, Anadarako Petroleum, Invesco, Bank of America, NBC Universal, Sprint, AT&T and Verizon. He has served on the AVIXA Board of Governor’s as an industry expert and is currently serving on the NSCA Board of Directors.

Chris Peterson has over 25 years of experience in sales and sales leadership, with a focus on system integrators. Chris started Vector Firm in 2010 as a provider of outsourced sales leadership and sales process consulting. Today, Vector Firm offers Sales Training, Digital Marketing Services, Sales Management Consulting, and Professional Speaking Services. Vector Firm has worked with over 120 clients since 2010, on projects ranging from two-day strategic sales planning sessions to multi-year retained engagements. He holds a Secret Clearance, and has deep experience in XR Visualization, Experience design, Virtual Production, next generation collaboration solutions, and software development leveraging cloud-based AI/ML for “A” list client e.g. Resorts World Vegas, SeaWorld, Disney and many more. His undergraduate work in Broadcast Engineering, Computer Science, and extensive continuing technical training in IP based technologies with Cisco (CCNa), Microsoft (MCSE), and AWS Architect has kept his career focused on converged AV/IT technology solutions. A serial entrepreneur, he was recruited by several start-ups to drive product and solutions delivering innovative enterprise software and hardware products and services to market. Serving as Director of Technical Services for Anheuser Busch Entertainment had the opportunity to hone his skills developing new attraction technologies going well beyond conventional AV/IT solutions which encompassed Virtual Reality, Motion Based Simulators, and Augmented Reality solutions.
Seth Robinson is the vice president of industry research for CompTIA, the leading trade association for the IT industry. In this role, he leads analysis of technology and business trends in the IT industry and provides insight into trend drivers and future direction. Seth has led research studies on IT security, cloud computing, internet of things, and artificial intelligence, among other areas. His research across multiple disciplines gives him a broad perspective on IT strategy and has led to the creation of CompTIA’s Functional IT Framework. He is the co-host of CompTIA’s popular Volley podcast and has been cited in various media outlets, including Wall Street Journal and USA Today, for his thoughts on how businesses are using technology and how the role of IT is changing.
Kay Sargent is a director of HOK’s global WorkPlace practice. With a passion for using design to transform how and where people work, she spends her days (and many nights) working with clients on workplace strategy and design. In 2021, the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) announced the induction of Kay into its prestigious College of Fellows; the highest honor given by the IIDA which recognizes those whose design work has significantly influenced the profession. Kay is on the international board of directors for AVIXA and is co-chair for the ASID Foundation research task force. She is also on the leadership team of IFMA’s WE Workplace Evolutionaries and the advisory board of Work Design Magazine.
Daniel Schmidtendorff is president and CEO at Communication Company, founded in 1976. The company began as a communications and sound company for the K-12 market. Today, it specializes in design, installation, and service of life safety, security, AV, and communication systems for the healthcare, education, and government markets. Since he purchased the company in 2006, Dan has grown Communication Company significantly in terms of staff size and gross revenue (more than a 168% increase). He’s also Treasurer on the NSCA Board of Directors.
Tobi Tungl helps grow organizations by creating and implementing client retention strategies to drive top-line revenue and open new physical locations. In addition, he develops strategic sales objectives based on company goals to promote growth and customer satisfaction for the organization. Tobi is an entrepreneurial, development and profit-oriented leader who communicates an innovative vision for the future and inspires his team to execute the transformation. Tobi was recognized as one of Commercial Integrators 40 Influencers under 40 in 2018 and is the President of the NSCA Education Foundation Board.

Shanna is passionate about cybersecurity thought leadership and is a guest article contributor and frequent speaker on podcasts and webinars about how cybersecurity can be possible for ALL businesses.
Patrick C. Whipkey is the vice president of EDGE, a division of PSA. Whipkey directly impacts the success of EDGE by cultivating relationships with integrators, manufacturers, service provider partners and associations within the network, as well as managing programs and collaborating with the management and executive teams on the overall strategic vision of EDGE. Whipkey brings with him over 19 years of proAV industry experience serving the commercial and residential sectors. He joined the EDGE team following 10 years with IMS Technology Services, a USAV integration group member company, where he held multiple roles, most recently serving as the director of project management.
Chuck Wilson is the CEO of NSCA, the leading not-for-profit association representing the commercial electronic systems industry.
