Mike Abernathy is Director of Business Resources at NSCA. He has been part of the systems integration industry since 2001. He started his career with NSCA before spending 10 years with a commercial audio manufacturer where he managed international sales. Today, Mike’s role at NSCA is to assist members with business resources that help them operate their systems integration firm. He’s based in Wisconsin where enjoys times with his wife and 2 kids.

Michael Boettcher, CEO at New Era Technology

Michael Boettcher became CEO of Advanced AV (now New Era Technology) in 2009. During his tenure, the company has transitioned from a traditional design-build integrator model into a service-oriented model with a full range of managed services. This critical shift has led to significant growth and achievements for the company, including recognition as a Top 50 Systems Integrator by SCN and an Industry Leader by Commercial Integrator. New Era Technology also received AVIXA’s elite APEx certification for industry excellence. Michael is an AVIXA member and an AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS). He is an executive member of the NSCA Board of Directors and holds a bachelor of science in business administration from Villanova University, where he was a student-athlete in the baseball program.

Siddharth Bose, Attorney at Ice Miller

Siddharth “Sid” Bose is an attorney in Ice Miller's Data Security and Privacy Practice. As part of Ice Miller’s Data Security and Privacy Practice, Sid counsels clients on various data security and privacy issues dealing with Internet of Things (IoT), SaaS, cybersecurity and regulatory compliance, and data breaches. Prior to becoming an attorney, Sid worked as an IT systems engineer. He is a current board member of the Central Indiana Chapter of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA). He is also a volunteer with the National Telecommunications and Information Administration’s (NTIA) working group on IoT Security, Upgradability, and Patching. As part of the working group, Sid participates in discussions on the impact of IoT devices and the need for a secure lifecycle approach to IoT devices. Sid is also a former co-chair of the Indianapolis Chapter of the International Association of Privacy Professionals.

Dale Bottcher, EVP at AVI-SPL

Dale is passionate about customer relationship building, working closely with his teams to address clients’ complex video communications needs and deliver solutions under budget and on schedule.

Dennis Burns, Director, Public Safety at Advanced RF Technologies, Inc.

Dennis J. Burns is the director of public safety at ADRF, managing national public safety strategy. He develops corporate public safety strategy and solutions needed for emergency responder communication enhancement systems (ERCESs) to deliver maximum market share and revenue. In addition, he works closely with AHJs to ensure that ADRF’s solutions meet requirements. He has more than 27 years of experience in developing direct and indirect business strategies in the wireless industry, with expertise in first responder public safety communications. Dennis is an active member and strong advocate of the Safer Buildings Coalition (SBC); he’s also active with many state fire alarm associations, as well as UL and NFPA. Prior to joining ADRF, Dennis was a regional sales director at Cobham Wireless, where he delivered and drove corporate revenue.

Mehryn Corrigan, Strategic Alliances and Marketing for Sharp Business USA

Mehryn Corrigan joined Sharp Business USA in 2012 after spending nearly five years in IT distribution. Since joining Sharp, her positions have varied from distribution sales to operations lead for integration of outsourced services. Most recently, Mehryn has taken a new role in Strategic Alliances and Marketing.
By leveraging key relationships in the AV channel with both other manufacturers and distributors, Mehryn brings a diverse set of skills into her role. She is has a passion for working across several work streams to bring people together in creating innovative solutions, most recently in the IoT and Collaboration segments. Mehryn was recently recognized as a CRN Woman of the Channel in both 2019 and 2017. Mehryn is also a member of the AVIXA Leadership Search Committee. She is a former collegiate soccer player and continues to play and coach youth programs in Florida.

Tim Hennen

Tim Hennen, CTO at IVCi & NSCA Emerging Technologies Committee Chair

In his role as chief technology officer at IVCi, Tim Hennen builds strategic client and manufacturer relationships, and implements new emerging technologies to ensure that sustainable ecosystems and profitable processes are being put in place. Prior to his current position, he successfully served a dual role as IVCi’s president of enterprise sales and engineering, where he managed enterprise sales and sales support in addition to acting as company leader and spokesperson for AV and collaboration solutions. Ed Jankowski joined Liberty in 2001 as General Manager of PanelCrafters in Phoenix and led its transformation from a small job shop to a 50k square foot automated manufacturing facility. Ed moved to the Liberty HQ in Colorado in 2008 first serving as COO for Liberty with responsibility for the supply chain, operations, technical services, company strategy, and certain strategic domestic and international customer accounts. Ed took over the leadership role for Liberty in 2013.

Bruce Kaufmann, President & CEO of Human Circuit

 Bruce Kaufmann, president and CEO of Gaithersburg, MD-based integration firm Human Circuit, is fascinated and sometimes awed by technology. He says he leads Human Circuit with a focus on improving people’s business lives. He loves focusing on the relationship between technology and people…man and machine. The relationship at times can be unhealthy and he wants his company to improve that relationship. When new technology is right …it’s immense for all. He says the success of achieving that for clients is why Human Circuit exists.

Gary Kayye, Founder of rAVe and Director of THE rAVe Agency

Gary Kayye has worked in technology branding and marketing for more than 25 years. He is the founder of rAVe [PUBS], the leading global AV news publication, and director of THE rAVe Agency, a full-service creative agency. His industry track record includes serving as vice president of sales and marketing for Extron and executive VP at AMX Corporation (now Harman International). He also teaches multiple courses at his alma mater, UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media. He has been the keynote speaker at more than 310 technology shows and events — largely thanks to his extensive marketing and branding expertise but also because of his entertaining and approachable speaking style.

Joseph Lee, Senior Manager, Government Affairs for Cisco Systems

Joseph Lee is a Senior Manager, Government Affairs for Cisco Systems team since 2018. He covers the entire country and monitors state legislation that ranges from cloud computing, power over ethernet, cybersecurity and procurement. Before Cisco, he was with RELX (LexisNexis and Elsevier), where he was a Manager of State Government Affairs. He has worked in state government public policy for 13 years including a stint at a major international trade association, the State of Georgia’s Technology Authority and an aide to the former Governor of Georgia Sonny Perdue’s re-election campaign. Joseph is based in the Washington, D.C. office.

Tom LeBlanc, Director of Industry Outreach and Media Channels at NSCA

Tom LeBlanc, NSCA's director of industry outreach and media channels, has supported the integration market since 2003. As editorial director of Commercial Integrator from 2010 to 2019 and in various roles at CE Pro before that, he specialized in developing content to help integration firms improve their businesses. At NSCA, LeBlanc is focused on sharing NSCA success stories and resources aimed at improving members' businesses.

Chris Leonard, Global Lead for Ametek

Christopher Leonard has extensive experience of accelerating the delivery of market leading products and services for challenging industrial sectors including; Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Metals and Process Industries. He holds certifications in technology, as well as in sales training and sales management development. Laurie MacKeigan, President of Backman Vidcom

Laurie MacKeigan is the president of Backman Vidcom, a graduate of Acadia University. After obtaining her Chartered Accountant designation with Deloitte in Halifax, Laurie spent 11 years in Bermuda working as the head of finance for a global investment firm. In 2014, she purchased Backman Vidcom with a goal of reviving the stagnant company. She and her team nicknamed the company “Backman 2.0” and set out to lead in the industry. The strategy has generated impressive results, with plans for more growth in the future.

Hannah Mey, Associate Vice President of Clinical Technology Solutions at Hoefer Wysocki

Hannah Mey is the Associate Vice President of Clinical Technology Solutions (CTS) at Hoefer Wysock. She has a decade of health information technology (HIT) experience supplemented by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing . She cared for patients in Neurosurgical ICUs before becoming a clinical consultant and educator where she created and optimized workflows. Hannah’s results led her to become a part of the marketing team where she contributed to the design and development of product. Hannah was promoted to Regional Sales Director where she managed all business operations from pre-sales to post implementation and ongoing support for her region.

Hannah has extensive experience in pre-sales solution design, and operational processes, integrators, integrations, clinical applications and implementation, customer care, and analytical analysis.

Eric Morris, CPA, has held senior financial positions for the past 30 years for private and publicly held construction companies. For the past 19 years, he has served as the CFO at Wayne Automatic Fire Sprinklers, Inc. Chris Mounts, CFO at AVI Systems

Christopher Mounts, CPA, served as AVI Systems’ first controller for four years before being promoted to CFO in April 2019. He now has executive responsibility for accounting and finance operations, financial reporting, strategic planning and analysis, and regulatory compliance. Lee Rozeboom, Vice President & Managing Sales Director at GreatAmerica

Lee Rozeboom, Vice President and Managing Direct of Sales, is responsible for setting strategy & vision and providing overall sales leadership to the Connected Technology Group. The CTG sales organization builds, maintains, and grows relationships with technology solution providers, resellers, manufacturers and associations in the tech industry, including IT, Unified Communications, A/V, and Security.

Ron Tellas is a subject-matter expert in RF design and electromagnetic propagation. Ron is the inventor of 16 U.S. patents. Chris Wissinger, Global Strategic Product Marketing Manager, Video at Roland Corporation U.S.

Chris Wissinger spent his early years working as a freelancer in the film and TV production industry. In 2004, Chris began his journey in the A/V industry starting out as a video technician for The Walt Disney Company, followed by work with Christie Digital in 2006, assisting movie theaters in the transition to installed digital projection technologies. Directly before joining Roland Professional A/V in 2018, he served as Director of Product Management for PSAV, the world's largest hospitality A/V services organization. A meeting and event technology specialist, Wissinger has additional experience in product marketing and expertise in developing valuable, innovative, and successful solutions based on customer needs and user requirements. In 2018 Chris moved from Orlando, FL to Arlington, TX, loves playing golf, and enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters.
