With great sadness we recognize the passing of George Serban. He was a true friend and great industry leader.
George served in several leadership positions with NSCA, including many years on the board of directors. He was instrumental in the formation of the NSCA Education Foundation, and was extremely passionate about helping the industry find and develop new talent.
He led the organization to produce several training programs for installers and technicians. The NSCA EST training program was developed under his leadership, and has since had thousands of installers and technicians go through that program. NSCA formed the EST consortium and later the Electronics Systems Professional Alliance (ESPA) under his guidance.
For so many of us, we can recall every conversation we had with George. In every exchange, something important and memorable was conveyed that gave us new perspective. George was a humble man who lived his life to serve others first.
George led his life with faith, family, and friends placed before his work. He taught many of us the importance of a work-life balance; without any fanfare, he became a mentor to us all. Caring, commitment and service was always his driving force.
George was certainly one of the great people in this industry and a person we are all very grateful to have known. His legacy will become an inspiration to us all. –Chuck Wilson, NSCA Executive Director
