November 13, 2014

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA, Nov. 13, 2014 – NSCA is excited to announce a new recognition program for products that have a profound effect on systems integrators: the Excellence in Product Innovation award.

Any manufacturer that produces low-voltage products for installation by integrators in the commercial space is eligible for this award. Industry manufacturers may nominate their own products; integrators may also submit nominations for products that have had a significant effect on installations.

One winner will be named in each of the following categories, along with one overall Grand Prize Winner:

  • Installer-friendly
  • Interoperability
  • Retrofit-Friendly
  • New Revenue Potential
  • Recurring Revenue Potential
  • Ease of Customization

Additional considerations will be made during the judging process in regard to how the product impacts user experience (i.e. scalability, versatility, deployment cost, ease of use, ROI, ADA compliance, energy efficiency, etc.)

“This is a very different type of recognition for manufacturers,” says NSCA Executive Director Chuck Wilson. “Our focus is to recognize manufacturers that are totally committed to our channel, and have innovative products specifically designed for system integrators to help them generate more revenue, earn more profit, reach new customers, and open new markets. Our Excellence in Product Innovation awards program will raise the bar by showcasing innovative solutions that truly makes a difference.”
