Leadership Succession Planning 101

Tuesday, May 13 at 11:00am CDT

The integration industry – particularly the NSCA Community – is great at a lot of things, but success planning isn’t necessarily one of them. Our industry boasts many strong company leaders, something that’s on display at NSCA’s Business & Leadership Conference. There are countless examples, however, of those strong leaders not preparing for a time when they no longer lead.

The integration industry needs to do a better job of succession planning. That means recognizing a leadership shift timeline; identifying future leader(s); and taking steps to prepare both the company and the individuals for that leadership transition. It’s such a big industry challenge that NSCA launched XBO Experience, a business conference specifically for those that have been tapped at future leaders.

This webinar is designed to help companies get started on a better succession planning strategy. Learn practical steps for creating a succession plan. Where should you start and how? How exactly do you identify future leaders that have a great chance at being successful? How do you prepare those individuals for leadership roles?

NSCA Director of Workforce Development Laura Janssen taps into integration company leaders who are navigating this challenge firsthand, along with succession planning expertise from Nikki Peduzzi, HR & Talent Acquisition Manager at NSCA member Automated Systems Design, Inc., and Marla Markoff of Insperity, an NSCA Business Accelerator. Together, they lead a discussion designed to help attendees make meaningful progress in their own succession planning efforts.
