AVI Systems and its manufacturer partners raised more than $20,000 for NSCA’s IGNITE initiative on Aug. 22, 2016, at Bent Creek Golf Course in Eden Prairie, MN.

Eighteen manufacturer partners, including Milestone AV, Haivision, Kramer Electronics, Revolabs, Shure Inc., Liberty AV, LifeSize, NanoLumens, NEC Display Solutions, Newline Interactive, ScanSource, Crestron, QSC, ClearOne, Bose, Almo, Bormann Marketing, Sharp, and Polycom, participated in the charity event.

“I was so impressed with the entire event and how well organized it was,” said Chuck Wilson, NSCA Education Foundation executive director. “It was a huge success. AVI Systems truly cares about the future of our industry as demonstrated in the way its staff pitched in to support this great cause. I’m very grateful for the time and effort of each and every AVI Systems employee, and for the generosity of its vendor partners.”

In addition to the 18-hole scramble, golfers participated in a range of activities from a silent auction to raffles and closest-to- the-pin to ladder ball toss. All proceeds from the event will benefit the NSCA Foundation’s IGNITE initiative. NSCA’s IGNITE works to generate interest in AV technology by connecting local high school and college students, as well as those new to the industry, with manufacturers, dealers, and integrators – and to spark imagination and encourage students to consider new career paths in our industry.

The IGNITE program was built to attract, retain, and grow qualified new talent in the AV industry, cultivating the next generation of technicians, managers, sales leaders, and innovators.
