Melody Craigmyle, Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Almo Corporation named one of Dealerscope’s 2022 Most Powerful Women in Consumer Technology.

Philadelphia, PA – Almo Corporation, the nation’s leading independent distributor of appliances, consumer electronics, Pro A/V equipment and housewares, today announced Vice President of Marketing and Communications Melody Craigmyle has been selected as one of Dealerscope Magazine’s 2022 Most Powerful Women in Consumer Technology.

Dealerscope’s Most Powerful Women in Consumer Technology is an annual program that acknowledges the contributions of women to the betterment of the consumer technology business. Despite challenging times in supply chain disruptions and labor shortages, these women have shown they have what it takes to lead, rally and mentor others within their business and inside of their network. This group helps move the consumer tech industry forward with a diversity of ideas and perspectives.

According to Dealerscope Editor in Chief, Erinn Loucks, “While our Powerful Women are nominated by peers, the winners are ultimately chosen by the editorial staff. We gave Melody this honor because she serves such a massive role within the industry as the center of all marketing, branding, promotional and education activity within Almo. Especially with Almo’s 75-year anniversary, Melody has had a full plate and she was inspirational in how she juggled it all, including managing all the news around Exertis UK’s acquisition of Almo Corporation.”

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to represent women in consumer technology through this award program,” said Craigmyle. “Women use consumer technology and their input on the design and use of these products is significant and necessary.” She continued, “Women also create value through thought diversity, which can result in enhanced problem solving and increased innovation.”

Craigmyle added, “Simply put, if 50 percent of the population is missing from the conversation, companies are missing half the opportunities. Women in consumer tech must continue to find their seat at the decision-making table, as it pertains to both the day-to-day efforts and overall bottom line results.”

Over the last year, Craigmyle spearheaded Almo’s 75-year anniversary commitment to giving back to its local communities and industries served by donating time, talent and resources to 75 different organizations. She also led the marketing and communication efforts through Exertis UK’s acquisition of Almo Corporation, then the combining and rebranding of Almo Professional A/V and Exertis Pro AV to become Exertis Almo.

In 2009, Craigmyle directed the unveiling of what is now the Exertis Almo E4 Experience The greatly expanded 2022 program traveled to Anaheim, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and Boston and was attended by the most attendees, exhibitors and educators in the program’s 13-year history. During the Boston E4 Experience, Craigmyle moderated a panel discussion about Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the workplace. View a video from the E4 Experience Boston location here.
