Join Stage Managers and Technical Personnel from the award winning Las Vegas Production of Phantom for a tour of the spectacular Phantom Theatre, designing by David Rockwell, and built to house this production. Hear about the unique challenges faced in creating this remarkable venue, assembling the pieces of and then dropping a ton of chandelier on the audience in each performance and dealing with the vast amount of automated equipment, special effects, audio and lighting systems in the most expensive musical ever produced. After an intro discussion in the auditorium, the tour will include the backstage area, the basement trap room, the chandelier machinery above the dome and the control booth.

The House of Blues inside Mandalay Bay opened 10 years ago and is regularly recognized as "Club of the Year" in Las Vegas. We will tour this unique live music venue which features Electro-Voice X-Array, Midas consoles, and KT signal processing products. Monte Wise from Bosch Communications Systems and Brian Thomas, HOB Production Manager, will discuss the unique system design and the acoustical challenges of operating this House of Blues. There will also be an overview of the system designs of other House of Blues locations and participants are encouraged to ask questions throughout the tour and presentations. This is a unique opportunity to look behind the scenes of one of the nation’s premier live music clubs, the House of Blues Las Vegas!
