NSCA Tools Ease the MasterFormatâ„¢ 04 Transition

If your company is continually working with construction professionals, it is crucial that you are familiar with the industry. The NSCA store offers tutorials, guides and quick references to get you higher profits and more successful projects.

Tutorials:

NSCA’s MasterFormat™ 04 tutorials are designed specifically for contractors, manufacturers and consulting engineers to show them how to improve contract documentation, read specifications, prepare bids, develop a scope of work and effectively control the project. Tutorials include:

Mini Manual:
The NSCA Mini Manual was created to help members familiarize themselves with CSI MasterFormat 04. The manual includes a MasterFormat history and timeline, answers to frequently asked questions, listings of common abbreviations, definitions and a comparison matrix that cross-references divisions and subsections from the MF 95 to MF 04 version.

Guide Specifications:
Three Guide Specifications for Divisions 25, 27 and 28 are available. The guides provide professionals with a framework that explains what goes where in a specification. This allows industry professionals to develop and/or respond to specifications in the standardized format.

MasterFormat 04:
This has construction for commercial and institutional building projects. CSI MasterFormat 04 is the most recent update in the 40 year old program. The program is designed to address the needs and requirements for all stakeholders.

Quick Reference Card:
The CSI MF 95 – MF 04 Quick Reference Card will help you quickly locate information in MasterFormat. One side of the card can help you find sections by term, and the other side can help you find terms by number. The card fits into your MasterFormat for a quick reference.
