CEDAR RAPIDS, IA, July 16, 2008 — NSCA’s EST Training Series, scheduled to begin September 15, provides comprehensive employee training so technicians make fewer errors therefore saving employers money. The extensive program gives employers a benchmark for skill competencies. At program completion, employees are well equipped to tackle the requirements of any integration project.

“EST Training is a terrific way to ensure all of your staff is on the same page,” said NSCA Senior Director of Professional Development, Norah Hammond. “With good, solid basic training, you can rest assured that your employees will get the job done right.”

The entire three-year program offers more than three dozen competencies and objectives; each level builds on the foundation of the previous level. A few of the core areas include:
  • Introduction to the Trade
  • Job-Site Safety
  • Low-Voltage Cabling
  • Fiber Optics
  • Codes And Standards
  • Wireless Communications
Using a combination of instructor-led, online teaching and local, hands-on instruction, EST Training provides an ideal, blended teaching format for students. Depending on your state guidelines, EST Training can be used toward apprenticeship requirements. New hires begin at level one; more experienced employees are assessed in order to determine their starting level.
