NSCA’s Fall Business Conference provides custom blueprint for success

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA, June 14, 2007—The 10th annual NSCA Fall Business Conference will be held October 21-23 in sunny Southern California at San Diego's Paradise Point Resort & Spa. Living up to its reputation as the premier forum for those within the electronic systems industry to exchange ideas and hone their business skills, the event offers practical management tips and visionary ideas within sessions hosted by recognized business management experts.

"The Fall Business Conference represents far more than an opportunity to interact with others and attend sessions," says NSCA Executive Director Chuck Wilson. "For many, the event has grown to become an invaluable experience; a place where knowledge is freely exchanged, new relationships are forged, and fresh perspectives are gained for dealing with the current generation of problems we all face."

The conference offers two dedicated tracks of strategic business sessions: one for executives and another for managers. Attendees are able to customize their learning experience to focus on their specific needs, interests and issues. Sessions address topics such as:

  • Maximize margin and profit
  • Triumph over lower-priced competitors
  • Boost employee retention and satisfaction
  • Earn customer loyalty
  • Prepare for forthcoming generations of customers and employees
  • Reduce marketing costs
  • Compete more effectively in today's marketplace

Keynote speakers will be Bill Brooks (CEO, The Brooks Group) and Steve Farber (president, Extreme Leadership, Inc.). Brooks' session, "How to Sell at Margins Higher than Your Competitors," will divulge a number of profit-boosting secrets gained from years of personal experience. Farber's session, "The Radical Leap: Extreme Leadership at Work," will explore ways to use the power of the heart to achieve more in the workplace and reveal strategies for building meaningful business relationships.

Situated just minutes from downtown San Diego, the conference will take place at Paradise Point Resort & Spa, which sits on a private, 44-acre island within Mission Bay. The conference will begin with a welcoming reception and an opening night dinner, during which the 2007 Excellence in Business Award winners will be announced. On the second night, attendees will enjoy a beach party thrown under the towering palms. Closing night entertainment includes dinner at The Shout! House, a live music venue in San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter featuring rock 'n' roll sing-alongs and musicians performing requests at a pair of "dueling" grand pianos.

Sponsors of the event include Atlas Sound (host sponsor); SCN (co-host and media sponsor); AMX; Bosch Communications Systems; Bogen Communications; Bose Corporation; Dove Net Technologies; Electrograph Systems; FSR; Grass Valley; Herman Procurement and Logistics; Innovative Electronic Designs (IED); Lutron Electronics; QSC Audio Products; Rauland-Borg; Shure Incorporated and West Penn Wire.
