NSCA Names Educator of the Year

Randy Vaughan captures top NSCA University honors, six other

presenters receive "Instructor of the Year" distinction

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA, June 29, 2007—Randy Vaughan has been named as NSCA’s Educator of the Year. Vaughan, president of Portsmouth, VA-based AE Systems, was singled out for the distinction based upon high instructor and course evaluation rankings that he received by NSCA University students.

Teaching within NSCA University's College of System Sales, Vaughan imparted his own ineffable wisdom to students in classes with course titles such as “Talk the Talk for New Sales Professionals” and “Killer Proposal Writing.”

“Our Educator of the Year award is really a small note of thanks when you stop and consider all of Randy's contributions to education and the betterment of the industry,” says NSCA Executive Director Chuck Wilson, upon making news of Vaughan's award public. “While the educator of the year is a huge honor, it represents only a fraction of what Randy has contributed to the success of our education program. His vision has been instrumental in getting us where we are today. It was a great day for me when I had the privilege to call him with this news".

Vaughan says it is his distinct pleasure to accept this award. “For its part, NSCA also is due no small measure of recognition for providing our industry with educational opportunities of the highest caliber that are simply not available from any other source or taught by such qualified individuals,” he said. “Without a doubt, NSCA University is in the business of building better integrators."

For the second year running, NSCA also honored top-rated educators within each of the NSCA University's individual colleges for "Instructor of the Year" accolades. These recipients were Marc Forman (Alarm, Electronics and Communications) from the College of Systems Sales; Gary Kayye (Kayye Consulting, Inc.) from the College of Business; Blair McNair (JBL Professional) from the College of System Design; John Murray (ProSonic Solutions) from the College of Technical Knowledge; Brad Nelson (Sound Solutions Northwest Inc.) from the College of Project Management; and Ernest Schirmer (Acentech, Inc.) from the College of Allied Professionals.
