NSCA University's Certificate of Completion Program acknowledges your commitment to continuing education. Participants in NSCA University programs can work toward a Certificate of Completion, which will be awarded after attaining 24 Learning Units (LUs) within a college.
Obtaining Your Certificate of Completion
You may apply for a certificate of completion in one or many NSCA University Colleges, for each certificate you will need to complete 24 Learning Units (LUs) over 3 years. The LUs will be comprised of:
- 16 LUs of Core Courses for that College
- 8 LUs of Electives
- 6 or more LUs must be at a 300-400 Level
The course levels for NSCA University are defined as:
- 100 Basic
- 200 Intermediate
- 300 Advanced
- 400 Expert
All LUs will be earned through NSCA University, and you will be able to earn up to 16 LUs at any single education event (such as NSCA Expo.) You can see listings of course offerings under the descriptions of the six colleges of NSCA University:

Renewing Your Certificate
CCP holders must re-apply every 3 years to renew their listing on the CCP registry with evidence that the certificate holder has continued their education by attending an additional 8 hours of classroom or hands-on instruction. These additional 8 hours are not limited to NSCA University courses, but may be earned through any industry education programs or manufacturer training.
