How Do I Renew EST-L2 Certification?
Certificate holders must renew their certifications every three years. Recertification consists of a $125 fee and evidence that you have continued your education by attending an additional 24 Learning Units* (LUs) of classroom or hands-on instruction. These additional hours are not limited to NSCA University courses — they may be earned through any industry education programs or manufacturer training. See a list of approved courses available through NSCA University’s Partner Providers.
* What is a Learning Unit?
Learning Units (LUs) track student progress toward continuing education requirements.
Each LU is equal to approximately one hour of class room or hands-on instruction, and LUs are awarded for all qualified courses from NSCA University as well as NSCA University-recognized LU Partner Providers. The LU value is listed in NSCA publications and the table below outlines LUs for common course lengths.
